Value Picks Per Position

Colin Belyeu

July 23, 2022

We all know top 5-10 per position are must draft players. With that said these are must draft players for fantasy football that may not be going in the top rounds that you should aim for wether dynasty or redraft leagues.

QB:

Trevor Lawrence received Andrew Luck comparisons throughout college. With Urban Meyer gone his chances of increase production from his rookie year drastically increases. With some different faces at receiver and tight end plus a healthy Travis Etienne, there is an uprade in the short passing game weapons. Doug Pedersen is a former NFL passer himself which could help Trevor take the next step. Trevor is a guy you can wait to get so you can stack your rister at other positions if thats your strategy.

RB:

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a guy who was considered to have a high ceiling & still could pan out that level. He took on injuries and exsisted somewhat in a RBBC. The departure of Tyreek Hill means excess targets have to go elsewhere & Helaire is very capable of taking advantage of dump off passes and running tough downhill. He is the most versatile in contrast to Ronald Jones & Jerick Mckinnon. Andy Reid has seemed very high on Jones & Mckinnon seemed like a sleeper in the playoffs last season. Those are the negatives, but I feel he will can be the most productive  & lead that backfield. You can wait a little later and get him as a steal or buy low on him if you already have a league established.

WR:

Somebody has to feast for Trevor Lawrence to be productive right? Christian Kirk could be the primary beneficiary. The Jaguars paid him like they want him to be the guy. His competition for targets is Marvin Jones, Zay Jones, & Evan Engram. Those guys are all good enough to contribute, but not run away with the show. Leaving the potential for Kirk to be the guy. He’s still young and rumored to have chemistry with Trevor Lawrence. Steal?

TE:

Austin Hooper was a top 5 tight end while in Atlanta. After signing a high priced contract with Cleveland that paired him with Baker Mayfield, an ensuing TE by committee, Hooper struggled to get his footing. He could flourish with the opportunities he has saddled up in Tennessee. He thrives in the play action  game with a guy like Derrick Henry making defenders bite on running plays. Tannehill has been a an accomplished QB as of late and could use a solid TE to help give his receivers open space. Hooper is going later in drafts and could carry tremendous value at his ADP. You could even draft a starting TE and still get Hooper as a quality backup or a player to trade if he plays like his Atlanta days.
