Gerald Everett
If he is still available in your league, and you need a starter upgrade or depth… Everett could be a great value. He had 10 targets last night which turned into 6 catches for 71 yards. He was close to capping off the night with a touchdown, but fatigue and miscommunication appeared to be a factor between the Everett and Justin Herbert. I had Everett as a low key stream option to start the season because offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, a former Saints coach being in place. If you look at the Saints the past couple years, they enjoy the use of a decent tight end in the passing game.
Justin Watson
Watson does not have a huge sample size, but when he comes on the field, he seems to be one of the more polished complete receivers on the team, whether its scoring a touchdown like last night, or picking up a critical first down. Juju Smith Schuster was believed to be the WR1, which he still might be, but Watson could earn more snaps if he keeps producing when called upon. Aside from Travis Kelce, the Chiefs need another consistent option.
Sony Michel
So lets not get things twisted… Austin Ekeler is the guy to have in the Chargers running back room. Sony Michel appears to be getting a decent role in the backfield, where he may vulture touchdowns or give Ekeler a break to help save him for the long season. Seeing as Michel was recently traded there a few weeks ago, he is doing more than you would expect a newly acquired player to do. He isn’t exactly someone to start, but definitely someone to to stash or even get as a handcuff if you have Ekeler.
Skyy Moore
Like I mentioned before, the Chiefs may need more consistency in the receiving game. Being a rookie, Moore may not have as much value right now, as he was limited to special teams last night, but he could soon. If you’re cheap, people may be willing to sell him cheap if frustration is starting to set in this early. Learn your league mates, and what they think about their players to see if you can buy low.
