Buy or Sell Week 3

After 2 weeks of very interesting football, many fantasy owners are pondering moves they should be making for week 3 & beyond. Here are a few guys explore:

Cooper Rush

He is in the starting quarterback category for the time being and exceeding expectations. With that said, he is a good option, that is to say if he’s your only option. He is a sell for me. The competition will get tougher the more he plays and as teams see him more. Additionally, Dak could be back in the next couple of weeks. If you can get him and pawn him off on someone such as an out of luck Trey Lance owner, that could be a winning deal for you.

Damien Pierce

His stock skyrocketed prior to week 1, but has since fizzled out after these first 2 weeks of subpar points. It is a long season and a lot could change with him and I expect him to get into gear as the season progresses. I would buy him, maybe even buy him low if people are getting frustrated with him this early.

Noah Brown

Cooper Rush seems to be taking a liking to him. He has put up two quality double digit games in both weeks. Cowboys could also be throwing a lot with CeeDee Lamb taking all the attention. Dalton Schultz is also set to miss some time with injury, as well as the recovering Michael Gallup status is question. I’d buy Noah Brown all day and maybe sell him high possibly, especially if you have a homer Cowboy fan in your league.

Cam Akers

This running back by committee appears back to a 50/50 workload which is better than the 90/10 share in week 1, dominated by someone not named Akers. Akers still has the higher ceiling. Exercise caution as he still trying to regain his explosiveness after his Achilles injury that Dr. Jesse Morse has spoken about numerous times. I would buy with CAUTION. If you can still get him for a low price he may be worth the value, especially since running backs are hard to find these days. Greg Dortch

I would buy him. His target amount is more than expected as he wasn’t expected to have any offensive role at all. He is playing the role that Rondale Moore was expected to play and succeeding with it. He even garnered a touchdown this past week. In this pass happy team I would buy him in hopes of him keeping a role, especially with two weeks of consistency.
