Troy Tulowitzki on the DL with an ankle injury-Dr. Parekh

Update: Reports are surfacing that Tulowitzki has ligament damage in his ankle. This is concerning for an unstable ligament injury to the syndesmosis. If so, usually will require surgery and about three months to return to play.

Toronto Blue Jays Troy Tulowitzki goes to the DL with an ankle injury. Will get an MRI to evaluate the bones and the ligaments. Best-case low ankle sprain and will be day today. Pain, swelling, and Mobility will determine return-to-play. Worst-case high ankle sprain or tear requiring a lengthy absence. Four to six weeks, or even surgery if there is instability.
