Trevor Rosenthal has instability of his UCL-Dr. Morse

Cardinals Trevor Rosenthal who was placed on the DL yesterday with elbow pain, has reportedly been dealing with instability of his UCL ligament and surgery is an option. This is very concerning as the surgical interventions would include Tommy John surgery as the worst case scenario or something called a primary repair which also addresses UCL instability, but is not as extensive or as a common of a procedure, and not everyone is a candidate for this procedure. Either way this is very concerning for Rosenthal and I would be very surprised if he came back this season. If he has surgery with either technique he is out for 10 to 14 months at the very least. Replacing him in the closer role for the Cardinals is Oh and possibly Tyler Lyons.
