Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu has stress fracture in his foot-Dr. Morse

Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu has suffered a stress fracture in his foot. Most common location for stress fracture of the foot is the 5th metatarsal, typically zone 3. This will require non-weight bearing for at least 4-6 weeks. There is a possibility that he needs surgery in light of how active he is & his profession. Expect him to be out 6-8 weeks. He should also be taking Calcium and Vitamin D to help restore his bone strength, as these are often low in people who suffer stress fractures.
