POINT GUARD –

BOB- Kris Dunn- Chicago Bulls- Dunn is suffering from a mid- back strain. We will consider him questionable for saturday’s game. Antonio Blakeney is starting in Dunns place but in his couple starts he has not impressed. so Felicio could play 25+ minutes by default. He’s worth a speculative add if you need FG% and boards.

FSF- Patrick Beverly- Los Angeles Clippers- He suffered a hip pointer on tuesday. He is questionable for thursday’s game but if he sits you should go out and grab shai Gilgeous-Alexander. With Three games to play you need him for your championship match with Beverly.

BOB- Jrue holiday/Elfrid Payton – New Orleans Pelicans-Update 3/28/19- It is what we feared Jrue holiday was shut down after having abdominal core surgery. Payton is suffering from a right wrist contusion is being listed as probable for thursday. Frank Jackson and Kenrich Williams should continue to start in their absence.

FSF- Dennis Smith Jr.-New York Knicks-  DSJ Is still  dealing with a Sore lower back. This mean Emmanuel Mudiay will still start in his place. Only pick up Mudiay if your team is hungry for decent guard play as of late he has been shooting 40%.

SHOOTING GUARD-

BOB-Allen Crabbe- Brooklyn Nets- He is dealing with right knee soreness. I think they shut him down until playoffs. Deangelo Russell has been playing a lot more with Crabbe off the court. Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris should all get a mild boost in his absence. All are decent plays this week for a championship round if you need someone.

FSF-Jeremy Lamb- Charlotte Hornets- suffered a right ankle sprain and his availability for friday is up in question.  Dwayne Bacon and Malik Monk with but bacon is definitely worth owning in standard leagues after scoring a career high 24 points (9-of-16 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs) with six rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and four 3-pointers

BOB- Zach Lavine- Chicago Bulls-Update-3/28/19- He is still dealing with a thigh bruise. For now we have him as questionable status for saturday. If he does not play. Shaquille Harrison will get another start tonight and with averages of 11.3 points, 5.8 boards, 2.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 turnovers on 41.9% shooting through four starts this season, he’s worth a look in deep leagues.

FSF-Eric Gordon-Houston Rockets- suffered a right ankle injury. He is expected to play on thursday even with a ankle sprain. If he does sit pick up Danuel House he is averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 3-pointers in his last two games.

BOB-Josh Hart- Los Angeles Lakers-Hart is dealing with knee soreness. Hart could have a nice run as everyone else on the squad gets the shutdown call. Look for ALex caruso to possibly give you value and no else is worth adding. But we do suggest in the championship start Javale Mcgee the past three games with 23.3 points, 16.0 rebounds, 5.0 blocks and 1.3 steals.

FSF- Donte Divincenzo/ Tony Snell- Milwaukee Bucks- Update Donte DiVincenzo who is dealing with left heel pain will not play again this season. Snell is suffering a left ankle sprain. The Bucks are getting a little thin at the forward spots, so there could be a lot of minutes headed to Pat Connaughton, who is a hold in standard leagues right now.

BOB- Tyler Johnson- Phoenix Suns- Johnson again was ruled out wednesday. He has been dealing with knee Soreness. I would drop him and take a shot on De’Anthony Melton.

SMALL FORWARD-

FSF- Otto Porter Jr. – Chicago Bulls- Porter who is suffering a right rotator cuff strain likely done for the season with only seven games left. Porter is a cut candidate. Shaq Harrison has the most to benefit with Porter out.

BOB- Josh richardson/Justice Winslow- Miami Heat- Richardson is suffering from a bruised left heel. He is being listed as questionable for Thursday. If he does sit look for Goran Dragic would likely return to the starting lineup. Stay tuned. Winslow is dealing with a right thigh contusion. No one really worth picking up here besides Goran Dragic.

FSF- Kevin Knox- New York Knicks- Is dealing with a ankle sprain from his last game. The rookie has slowed down lately after becoming the only option in new york he is being double teamed and seeing teams best defenders.

BOB- Josh Jackson- Phoenix Suns- Is suffering a right ankle sprain with a couple games left and suns in the ping pong ball race. Jackson should be shut down soon and dropped in all leagues.  Mikal bridges is a decent pick up.

FSF- Trevor Ariza- Washington Wizards- He went in on tuesdays game for 7 minutes before reaggravating a left groin strain. He is a candidate to be shut down and dropped. Troy Brown has been a highlight pick up for those who took a chance on him.

POWER FORWARD-

BOB-Lauri Markkanen- Chicago Bulls- They will reportedly be shut down for the remainder of the season.so Felicio could play 25+ minutes by default. He’s worth a speculative add if you need FG% and boards.

FSF- Kenneth Faried- Houston rockets-  He Is dealing with a right sore knee. Kenneth Faried will not play on Thursday against the Nuggets.

BOB- Noah Vonleh- New York Knicks- An MRI revealed a right ankle sprain and right foot bone bruise for Noah Vonleh and he will miss at least another week of action.

CENTER-

FSF-Wendell Carter Jr.- Chicago Bulls- suffered an ulnar collateral ligament damage in his thumb and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

BOB-Joakim Noah-Memphis Grizzlies- is suffering from right knee soreness and his status for saturday is questionable. Check back around shoot around if you need to make a move.

FSF-Jusuf Nurkic- Portland Trailblazers- He underwent season-ending surgery on Tuesday to repair compound fractures to his left tibia and fibula and he is currently without an official timetable to return.Nurkic suffered the gruesome injury with two minutes left in the second overtime during their victory over the Nets. It’s a brutal blow for Nurk, who was playing the best basketball of his career, and the Blazers, who were hoping to make some noise in the playoffs. If you need to add anyone. Go with Zach Collins should see an increase in minutes. Zach Collins had 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers on Wednesday, making 4-of-6 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs in 25 minutes.

FSF-Harry Giles- Sacramento Kings- Is suffering from a right thigh contusion. It is not expected to be to serious but with past leg issues the team may shut him down to make it easy on him. All the following players benefit in his absence Willie Cauley-Stein, Nemanja Bjelica, Bogdan Bogdanovic and possibly Kosta Koufos could benefit.

Picks for the week:

Bobby:

    1. Andrew Wiggins, SG for the T-Wolves. So Minnesota is shutting down people like they are the Lakers. Wiggins, the former #1 overall pick, will take on an even bigger role not only as a finisher but as a facilitator.  He has been averaging 17 a game 2 assists and 5 boards but to me this is a bit underachieving. Lately he has pushed his numbers with added minutes where he put 20 on Golden state and Charlotte, I think that he and Anthony Towns continue to work together and make a statement for next season.
    1. Bradley Beal, SG for the Wizards, This guys is sneaky good and plenty overlooked. Washington is in the basement in the east and I think once Wall went out people forgot about them, but Beal is a beast. This guy is no longer a sidekick journeyman, he is signed in Washington through 2021 and has settled in nicely. Averging 26 a game and throwing in 5 dimes, 5 boards. He is strong with a nasty first step and averages nearly 40% from behind the Arc. it will be an early summer for Beal and the Wizards but I think he will go out shooting.
  1. Reggie Jackson, PG for the Pistons, when you talk about the East all you hear about is either Boston or Toronto but the Pistons have been battling all year to a 6th place spot in the east right now and I would not want to meet up with them because of their lineup. It is a group that could ruin your playoff run quick, we know about Griffin and Drummond but a guy that is a stud and getting hot lately is Reggie Jackson, Scotty you have liked him in the past, i really like him now, he has been averaging 15 a game with 4 assists and a couple of boards, with the bench getting shorter for playoffs his assists will go up and with Blake and Drummond as finishers, its a good spot to be in. I think he is peaking at the right time.there is a tough line up coming for him including golden state and a couple against the blazers and one against the nuggets! Detroit will need him to do well!

FSF:

Nates Picks:

  • Lastly, my end of season MVP is between Harden and Giannis with the greek freak taking it. This is my pick only for the reason of Giannis can take over the playoffs and Possibly pull a HOF performance and give Milwaukee it will be a Chicago cub celebration if he pulls it off.

POINT GUARD –

BOB- Darren Collison- Indiana Pacers- Indiana’s Point guard is dealing with a right quad contusion. That has held him out of the last two games.   mild bruise or strain may heal within a few weeks. A more severe bruise or strain may take 6 weeks or longer. This means more minutes in the coming weeks for his back ups.  Cory Joseph has been the started in his place but the one to take advantage is none other than Tyreke Evans with his big bench minutes.

FSF- Mike Conley- Memphis Grizzlies- He is suffering from general soreness but it is undisclosed at the time where. This is a way to give a guy rest after a overtime game with another back to back coming at the end of the week. I think he maybe misses the second of the back to back. What does this mean? This means Delon Wright is basically a must-own player right now.

BOB- George Hill- Milwaukee Bucks-Update 3/22/2019- Hill is recovering from a Groin strain. He is listed as questionable to play the miami heat. Even if he does play this man is not fantasy relevant right now.

FSF- Jeff Teague/ Derrick Rose- Minnesota Timberwolves- Jeff teague is still dealing with a left foot injury we got some bad news to report on 3/21.Teague recently had an injection in his left foot to treat chronic inflammation, and he’s expected to miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season. This is what we were saying to you last week be careful he is a shutdown candidate. Now look for Tyus Jones to take over the starting spot. This make him must- own.

Derek Rose who dealing with a sore right elbow. An MRI revealed a chip fracture and loose body in Derrick Rose’s sore right elbow and he’s expected to miss the remainder of the season. Tyus Jones will see big minute down the stretch with these injuries taking out the starter and back up.

BOB- Jrue holiday/E’Twaun Moore – New Orleans Pelicans- The Pelicans only have nine more games this season and have already been mathematically eliminated from the postseason, so it’s looking like we won’t see either of these guys again in 2019.  Frank Jackson and Kenrich Williams should continue to start in their absence.

FSF- Dennis Smith Jr.-New York Knicks-  DSJ Is dealing with a Sore lower back. DSJ will be reevaluated next week. He is projected to only miss 3 more games. This mean Emmanuel Mudiay will still start in his place. Only pick up Mudiay if your team is hungry for decent guard play.

BOB- Kyle Lowry- Toronto Raptors- He is dealing with a sprained left ankle injury. He is already ruled out for friday’s and at best questionable for sunday’s game. Fred Vanvleet is the pick up here as he will start in his place.

FSF- Dante Exum- Utah Jazz- An MRI revealed Dante Exum (knee) has a partially torn patellar tendon in his right knee and is out indefinitely. Ricky Rubio should see his starting minutes increase a little with this news.

SHOOTING GUARD-

BOB-Allen Crabbe- Brooklyn Nets- He is dealing with right knee soreness. He has had the knee drained but has been ruled out for the past 3 games. We think he keep getting ruled out for now. Deangelo Russel has been playing a lot more with Crabbe off the court. Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris should all get a mild boost in his absence.

FSF- Zach Lavine- Chicago Bulls- He is dealing with a thigh bruise. Does not seem to be to bad to rule him out saturday. Fro now we have him as questionable status. If he does not play.  This should open up a ton of opportunity for Lauri Markkanen, Kris Dunn, Shaq Harrison and Antonio Blakeney.

BOB- Tim Hardaway Jr. – Dallas Mavericks- He is being reported as out for the year after suffering from a left tibia stress reaction. Stress Reaction is a precursor to a stress fracture. If you have a stress reaction of any bone, and you continue to put repetitive stress on that bone, the stress reaction could become a stress fracture. This means he is being shut down to prevent a stress fracture from occurring. Jalen Brunson should be owned in all standard leagues while Kleber could be worth an add.

BOB-Josh Hart/Lance Stephenson- Los Angeles Lakers-Hart played tuesday only 19 minutes and he could play tonight. Depends how his knee soreness is doing. Hart could have a nice run as everyone else on the squad gets the shutdown call. Lance Stephenson is suffering from a left foot and toe sprain. I am projecting even when healthy he will be shut down soon. Look for ALex caruso to possibly give you value and no else is worth adding.

FSF- Avery Bradley- Memphis Grizzlies- An MRI revealed a right shin contusion for Avery Bradley and he will miss at least the next week of action. Bradley is scheduled to be re-evaluated in one week from today, but at that point, the Grizzlies will just have eight games remaining on their regular-season schedule, so there’s a decent chance we’ve already seen the last of Avery in a Memphis uniform this season.Delong Wright will likely slide into the starting five while he’s out, and with averages of 11.0 points, 7.0 boards, 4.8 dimes and 1.3 steals as a starter this season.

BOB- Malcolm Brogdon- Milwaukee Bucks- UpdateAn MRI revealed a minor plantar fascia tear in Malcolm Brogdon’s right foot.  The primary symptom of Plantar Fasciitis tear is heel pain or pain along the arch of the foot. This pain is usually intense and localized. The pain is more prevalent in the A.M. after getting up and also after getting up from sitting for awhile. Your first step is to reduce pain and inflammation. Initially, ice should be applied daily during this phase of recovery. Modalities you can use are Ultrasound and medical laser which are clinically proven effective. The Graston Technique which can help the inflamed tissue return to a more normal level of pain free mobility. Once the pain is gone we can start physical therapy to strengthen the foot again. Treatment time is about 6-12 weeks depending on the severity of the Plantar Fascia tear.

FSF- Alonzo Trier- New York Knicks- Trier is dealing with a calf injury is going to miss “a couple more games,” according to coach David Fizdale. The Knicks are expected to have Kadeem Allen back in the lineup, fortunately, giving some much-needed support to Emmanuel Mudiay in the backcourt. With one week you can drop Trier.

BOB- Tyler Johnson- Phoenix Suns- Johnson has been dealing with knee Soreness. With not many games left. I would drop him and take a shot on the recently added Jimmer Fredette time with some extra De’Anthony Melton.

FSF- CJ McCollum-Portland Trailblazers- McCollum injured his knee in an awkward fall on Saturday night. Fortunately, we have since learned that he avoided a serious injury. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Sunday that McCollum was diagnosed with a popliteus strain in his left knee and he will be re-examined in one week. Probably won’t see him back before the end of the season. Rodney Hood, Evan Turner and Seth Curry will have the opportunity for some extended minutes while he’s out, while Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic will run the show on offense.

SMALL FORWARD-

FSF- Otto Porter Jr. – Chicago Bulls- Porter who is suffering a right rotator cuff strain is doubtful for Saturday’s game vs. Utah. We should have another update on Otto after Saturday’s shootaround. Shaq Harrison has the most to benefit with Porter out.

BOB- Justice Winslow- Miami Heat- Winslow is dealing with a right thigh contusion. Derrick Jones Jr. has started each of these last three games, but has had a minimal fantasy impact. No one really worth picking up here.

FSF- Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks– Antetokounmpo sprained right ankle is probable for Friday’s game vs. the Heat. If he rest it is just to make sure he is right before going into the playoffs. No one has really step up given the opportunity. I would not pick up Tony Snell.

BOB- Robert Covington- Minnesota Timberwolves- Here is another guy ready to be shut down with knee soreness. His replacement  Josh Okogie should continue to start in his absence, and while he’s been hit-or-miss this season, he’s been trending up over the past two games with averages of 20.0 points, 4.5 boards, 3.0 treys, 2.0 dimes and 2.0 steals per game, so he’s on the radar in deep leagues

FSF- Josh Jackson- Phoenix Suns- Jackson is dealing with an ankle injury and is questionable for Saturday against the Kings. If he can not play, Mikal Bridges will get all he can handle while there could be a Jimmer Fredette sighting.

BOB- Trevor Ariza- Washington Wizards- He suffered a left groin strain and it is unknown if he will suit up saturday. Troy Brown started in place of Ariza on Thursday and logged 32 minutes, making 6-of-10 from the field for 13 points with five rebounds, three assists and two turnovers against the Nuggets. Brown will likely draw another start on Saturday, assuming Ariza is unable to play. Brown is a great pick up with not many out on waiver wire.

POWER FORWARD-

BOB- Kenneth Faried- Houston rockets-  He Is dealing with a right sore knee. He did log a Did not practice on sunday. We project him to dominate the back up job behind Capela.

FSF- Jaren Jackson Jr. Memphis Grizzlies- Suffering from a deep right thigh contusion. We think he gets shut down for the seaon sonn. With  Ivan Rabb and Joakim Noah to continue to pick up the slack in his absence, with Noah offering the most upside.

BOB- Nikola Mirotic- Milwaukee Bucks-  He is dealing with a slight fracture in his left thumb and is set to miss the next 2-4 weeks of action. It’s been a rough year for thumbs in the NBA this season. No one is worth a fantasy pick up here.

FSF- Taj Gibson- Minnesota Timberwolves- He is dealing with a left calf strain. He will likely sit the rest of the season. With no one worth picking up here.

BOB- Kelly Oubre- Phoenix suns- is set to undergo a minor procedure on his left thumb and will miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

CENTER-

FSF- Al Horford/ Aron Baynes- Boston Celtics- Horford is dealing with knee soreness and Baynes is dealing with a grade 2 left ankle sprain. With him and Al Horford out, Daniel Theis will be a popular stream on a back-to-back set while Robert Williams could be a block option.

BOB- Cody Zeller- Charlotte Hornets-Update 3/21/2019- This guy is still not healthy. He is dealing with Left knee soreness that will rule him out saturday. This will be the sixth straight game on the shelf for Zeller. Bismack Biyombo, Frank Kaminsky and Willy Hernangomez will continue to divvy up minutes in his absence.

FSF: Championship rounds

  • Delon Wright- Memphis Grizzlies- He is starting in place of Mike Conley. He can give you assist and good rebounding for a guard with 10 points a night. He is stat line stuffer you need for your championship round. Delon Wright played 39 minutes against the Magic on Friday with 12 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block.

  • Thomas Bryant- Center for the Washington Wizards – The new starter for the Wiz has been heating up as of late. He can get you rebounds with decent scoring. His last game Thomas Bryant scored 22 points (9-of-11 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) with eight rebounds and two blocks in 35 minutes. He has the potential to put  up a double double every night. He is worth an add and start if you need a center/ Power forward for your championship week.
  • Fred VanFleet-Point Guard for the Toronto Raptors-  Has replaced Kyle Lowry while he is injured and it looks like this is the guy to own going into your championship rounds. Lowry should miss at least one more week. VanFleet is a guy who can get points, assist and with steals.  In his previous three games he was a top-50 value averaging 17.7 points (54% FGs, 86% FTs), 3.0 triples, 7.3 assists and 1.0 steals. If you need a guard for the week get Vanfleet if your league mates missed on him.

Nates Picks:

  • Jalen Brunson-Point Guard-Dallas Mavericks Over the last three games, Brunson averaged 20.2 points, 4.0 boards, 5.8 dimes, 0.6 steals and 2.0 treys in 35.4 minutes per game. He should be owned in standard leagues.

  • Tyus Jones-Point Guard-Minnesota Timberwolves- We mentioned him earlier in the injury section as a replacement for Jeff Teague and Derek Rose both out for the season. He is an Assist specialist and Steals with a splash of 10 points. Through 12 games as a starter, Jones owns averages of 9.9 points, 7.3 dimes, 1.9 steals and just 1.2 turnovers per game on 41.3% shooting, so he shouldn’t be sitting on any waiver wires.

  • SHAQUILLE HARRISON- Small Forward for the chicago bulls- He is a name not many will recognize but he may be the pick up of the week for you. With his scoring ability, ability to steal the ball and rebound. The other night Shaq Harrison scored 18 points with six rebounds, four steals and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes. If you need a last ditch effort in your semifinal round this week. You could do worse than Shaq Harrison.

POINT GUARD –

BOB-Devin Harris- Dallas Mavericks- He tweaked his ankle under the basket in the second half, but the team announced he was available to play. This sounds like a minor injury if the team announced he was available to play thursday. They could of just decided with Jalen Brunson performing at a high level to run with the hot hand. With that said suggestion is to get Jalen Brunson in all leagues if you need a point guard to score. Over the last three games, he has been killing it.

FSF-Lonzo Ball- Los Angeles Lakers- Lonzo is being shut down for the year. No surprise here with the Lakers closer to a lottery pick then a playoff berth. They could be hitting the full tank mode button. Look for Rondo to finish the year as starter and Alex caruso to back him up. The only one who needs to be owned is rondo.

BOB- George Hill- Milwaukee Bucks- Hill is recovering from a Groin strain. He is listed as probable for tonight’s game.If he plays he will play under limited minutes. Donte DiVincenzo, Pat Connaughton and Tony Snell could all see their playing time reduced a bit as Hill re-enters the rotation.

FSF- Jeff Teague/ Derrick Rose- Minnesota Timberwolves- Jeff teague is still dealing with a left foot injury and did not play last nights game. If the Wolves keep losing look for Teague to be a shutdown candidate bringing value to Tyus Jones. Rose is dealing with a sore right elbow. This is his shooting arm and again with the Wolves almost eliminated and with him dealing with his ankle issue he is another candidate to be shutdown.

BOB- Jrue holiday/E’Twaun Moore – New Orleans Pelicans- Alvin Gentry hinted on Thursday that the Pelicans could shut down both Jrue Holiday (abdominal strain) and E’Twaun Moore (quad) for the final 12 games of the season.  Frank Jackson and Kenrich Williams should continue to start in their absence. I like Frank Jackson if both holiday/ Moore on the shutdown bubble .

FSF- Dennis Smith Jr.-New York Knicks-  DSJ Is dealing with a Sore lower back. DSJ popped up on the injury report on Thursday with the back issue and will miss his first game since being traded to New York. Emmanuel Mudiay is expected to slide into the starting lineup at point guard and will be a popular DFS option. Mudiay when he starts is averaging 16.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 28.1 minutes.

BOB-Tyler Johnson- Phoenix Suns- is dealing with right knee soreness and has been rules out for fridays contest. Devin Booker will likely be asked to facilitate the offense more frequently on Friday. We don’t have a big add  hear but if you have booker you could see more assist come his way until Johnson returns to the line up.

BOB- Kyle Lowry- Toronto Raptors- He is dealing with a sprained left ankle injury. He sat out last nights game and Jeremy Lin Started in his place and disappointed in what was a good match up. The projection is for lowry not to be out to long but Lin is only a speculative add at this point. While Vanfleet is still nursing a surgically repaired left thumb.

FSF- Dante Exum- Utah Jazz- Yes he finally returned monday from his left knee soreness. But last night he injured his right knee. He is having a tough time staying healthy this season. Exum is droppable with playoffs here.

SHOOTING GUARD-

BOB-Josh Hart- Los Angeles Lakers- He can’t get past his ailing knee issues. Hart is ruled out for fridays contest. With him out, that should put Alex Caruso on as a combo guard while Johnathan Williams should see additional time at the three, as well. Andre Ingram is also a deep-league play. Hart is tough to count on at this point drop him for a healthy body with upside.

SMALL FORWARD-

FSF- Demarre Carrol- Brooklyn Nets- The Nets kept him out on Wednesday because of a hyperextended knee issue from Monday.  He is probable to return to the line up saturday.

FSF- Treveon Graham- Brooklyn Nets- is dealing with a back issue and is probable for saturday but it is looking like Kurucs will keep starting in his place. Kurucs would be a decent streaming option for those looking to get a boost to close the week.

BOB- Brandon Ingram- Los Angeles Lakers- This headline came in right after we posted last weeks podcast. Ingram, who had missed two straight games due to a sore right shoulder, underwent further testing on Friday which revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) in his arm. If you recall this is what shut down Chris Bosh,  One clot traveled to Bosh’s lungs and was serious enough that he had to go to the hospital. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) forms in one or more of the deep veins in your body, usually in your legs. Deep vein thrombosis can cause leg pain or swelling, but also can occur with no symptoms. But for athletes that work out for hours each day, leg pain could just be dismissed as normal wear and tear. So in this case it is a good thing they caught it early address the issue before it gets worse.

FSF- Kevin Durant- Golden State Warriors- Coach Steve Kerr said “it’s doubtful” Kevin Durant who suffered a right ankle sprain last game,  plays in Oklahoma City on Saturday. He did practice on Friday and is still listed as questionable. We think they will rest him but he may give it ago saturday against his old team. Look for updates around shootaround.

BOB- Moe Harkless- Portland Trail Blazers- Moe is dealing with a left knee injury. This is the same knee from the beginning of the year so there is cause for concern. He will not play on Friday. Rodney Hood will start in his place but should not be a fantasy mover in our opinion.

POWER FORWARD-

Larry Nance- Cleveland Cavaliers- He is dealing with a rib contusion injury that rules him out of thursdays contest. With the way Kevin Love been playing averaging 20.9 points, 11.9 boards, 2.0 dimes and 3.6 treys over his previous eight. He should be in all lineups. What was once a good add mid season has likely run its course and dried up.

CENTER-

FSF- Cody Zeller- Charlotte Hornets- This guy is still not healthy. He is dealing with Left knee soreness. The coach without Zeller has started many different lineups with zeller out. Coach James Borrego did say that he’s hopeful Zeller will play on Sunday, though. Borrego wouldn’t say who would start, but he started Willy Hernangomez on Monday. Marvin Williams and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also benefit.

BOB- Tyson Chandler- Los Angeles Lakers- He is dealing with a neck injury that has ruled him out friday. With the Lakers closer and closer to being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Chandler maybe shut down and played his last time in purple and gold.

Picks for the week:

Bobby:

  1. Jason Richardson, SG for the heat, averaging 5 points above his career average at 17 pts he also adds in 4 dimes and 3 assists a games. While D Wade completes his farewell tour, Richardson has been handling business. He does a little bit of everything including finish around the rim as well as shoot mid 80’s from the free throw line. D wade will always be a bit of a distraction for other teams and I actually think that he is going to make a last run at deciding if he has 1 more year which means Richardson gets to fly under the radar a little more. The East is wide open but presently the heat are sitting at 8 seed but only 3 games out of 6th
  2. Demarcus Cousins, Center for Golden State, I hate to pick any one of the Warriors but Cousins is ready to make a statement as the Warriors make a push, he has had a chance to rest for most of the season with the achilles deal and now I think Steve Kerr is going to lean on Cousins while he rests his other all stars, plus drama is brewing with Durrant and Draymond, Cousins has been averaging 16, 8 as well as a block and a half a game but he is capable of doing more, he put up 27 on houston the other night and could probably do it anytime he wanted
  3. Here is my sleeper, Jalen Brunson, PG for the Mavs.  although he has only been averaging 8.5 points a couple of boards and couple of assists, he has been on a tear lately pushing his average up to 20 a game over the past 5 games and his minutes are up around 30 a game, the kid is a great example of what it is to be in the zone. Brunson has found a nice spot playing of the potential rookie of the year and with Dallas being lottery bound again, i think that Brunson continues to get plenty of opportunity to put up good fantasy numbers

FSF: Categorize Specifically players who dominate a specific category that can win you your match up for the weak

  • Elfrid Payton- Point Guard for the New Orleans Pelicans- With the Pelicans all but in tank mode. Shutting down players like Jrue holiday/E’Twaun Moore.  I think this assist specialist can pick you up a fantasy playoff win. In his last three games without Jrue, Payton is ranked 20th in 9-category leagues with 14.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 2.0 triples and 2.0 turnovers. He’s a must-start player until further notice.

  • Frank Kaminsky- Center/ Power Forward For the Charlotte Hornets. We forgot to mention him in the cody zeller injury. But he has been coming off the bench lighting up the scoreboard for a big man. Kaminsky has thrived in his role in the rotation over the last five, averaging 14.6 points, 5.4 boards, 1.2 dimes, 0.2 blocks and 2.2 treys on a 53/50/77 shooting line. He doesn’t have the most upside because of a lack of defensive stats, but his scoring makes him worth a look in competitive leagues.

  • Marcus Smart- Shooting Guard for the Boston Celtics- He will not wow you all  the time with his points. But where it counts is his Defensive stats. The man is averaging 2.5 steals per game. To go along with 12.7 points, 2.3 boards, 3.7 dimes, and 2.3 treys. Pick him up and watch as you win your match up before the playoffs.

Nates Picks: Sleepers is the name of the game. These are people your league mates are overlooking.

  • Jerami Grant-Power Forward- Oklahoma City Thunder- He’s really emerged as a key player for the Thunder and has also been a top-50 fantasy asset this season. Grant averaged 14.3 points, 5.4 boards, 1.4 dimes, 0.9 blocks and 1.6 treys on a shooting line. He’s worth owning in standard leagues.

  • Robin Lopez Center for the Chicago Bulls- Yes , I said Robin Lopez. If you do not own this man go get him. Ro-Lo’s not owned in enough fantasy leagues and the lottery-bound Bulls should just keep running him out there. Ro-Lo is averaging 16.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks on 55 percent shooting over his last five games.

  • Rodonis Kurucs-Power Forward- for the Brooklyn Nets- With how well he has been playing and the Nets looking to secure a playoff spot. Look for the Nets to keep him in their starting line up. Over the last five the rookie forward is  Averaging 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 2.4 three-pointers per game. This guy is a pick up and a start at the position if you are struggling.
