Minnesota Wild defenseman Mathew Dumba suffered a broken bone in his hand during the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. If the bone in Dumba’s hand is shifted, it will require surgery, but if not, Dumba can be treated otherwise.

The talented rearguard should be ready to play in six to eight weeks time, so the injury should not interfere with Dumba’s plans for the 2017-18 season. Dumba is looking to build upon a career year in which he scored 11 goals and registered 34 points overall.
