It was a good weekend for football, with wild games between the Chiefs and Falcons and, for different reasons, the Seahawks and Panthers. It was a good weekend for football injuries too, as there were fewer injuries to fantasy-relevant players this week than there have been in a while. It may, of course be because so many fantasy-relevant players are already injured, but…here’s this week’s news:
Kapri Bibbs, Denver Broncos
Broncos running back Kapri Bibbs was placed on IR after suffering a high ankle sprain in Sunday’s game. To take his roster spot, the Broncos already brought in and signed running back Justin Forsett. With Devontae Booker struggling and no one behind him now that Bibbs is hurt, Forsett may actually see some playing time sooner than expected.
Dwayne Washington, Detroit Lions
Lions running back Dwayne Washington was working as an almost every-down back for the beginning of Sunday’s game, but he was forced to leave the game and could not return due to an ankle injury. Zach Zenner took his place and looked good. With Washington likely to miss at least a game, Zenner could be a hot waiver wire commodity this week.
Danny Amendola, New England Patriots
Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola suffered a high ankle sprain and had to leave Sunday’s game. With the Patriots already planning for the playoffs, the goal is for Amendola to be ready by then. He likely won’t play again in the regular season.
Adam Humphries, Tampa Bay Bucs
Bucs wide receiver Adam Humphries left Sunday’s game due to a concussion and was not able to return. He will enter the league’s concussion protocol and cannot be considered any better than 50/50 for next week.
Marquess Wilson, Chicago Bears
Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson put up an empty statline on Sunday after being forced to leave the game early due to a groin injury. He was unable to return and is questionable at best for Week 14.
