Ryan Madson on DL with lumbar nerve root irritation

Lumbar nerve root irritation is another way of saying sciatica. This usually happens when a nerve in the lower section of the spine is irritated, generally by a disc bulge or bone spur. Treatment usually includes steroids and NSAIDs for the inflammation, combined with PT. More significant cases would be treated with epidural steroid injections and possibly surgery.

RTP depends on severity, and could range from 1-2 weeks up to 4-6 months (for surgery cases).
