Kendrys Morales

Morales exited last night’s game with what MRI has now confirmed as a mild, likely grade one, hamstring strain. He hasn’t quite lived up to the hope that Toronto was hoping when they signed him over E5. So far he’s hitting .244 with 6 HR, and slugging only .433. Expect this hamstring strain to sideline him at least the next day or two, possibly through the weekend. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives it a try on Saturday, and if he doesn’t feel any better, the Blue Jays might retroactively put him on the DL.

Hamstring Muscle Injuries

The Blue Jays cannot afford to lose another player to the DL, as they are already in the AL East’s basement, standing 10.5 games out of first place going into today.
