John Lackey goes to the DL with plantar fasciitis-Dr. Morse

Chicago Cubs placed starting pitcher John Lackey and DL with plantar fasciitis. This is a very painful condition and depending on the severity he may need anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to return to play. Sometimes corticosteroid injections can be used in the base of the heel, but this can be more of a last resort.
