Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon tested positive for testicular cancer after having surgery May 8 due to cancer suspicions, according to Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Although Taillon has been cleared for light workouts, he will be meeting with surgeons and trainers next week to discuss a further plan in hopes of eradicating the cancer. Taillon will need studies to evaluate whether the cancer has spread to other areas or not. Depending on this information, treatment options are determined.
Prior to the ailment, Taillon had a 2-1 record with a 3.31 ERA.
Here at The Fantasy Doctors, we are wishing Taillon and his family the best.
